Since 2016, IFC’s Capital Markets Postgraduate Program has trained over 270 capital markets regulators and financial professionals from 64 countries.
This report, Shaping the Next Generation of Capital Markets Leaders, highlights how program alumni have advanced their careers and shaped the development of local capital markets in their respective countries, driving economic growth, job creation and business opportunities.
While capital markets are vital for economic stability and poverty reduction, many countries lack the expertise to foster them.
The program equips mid-career regulators from ministries of finance, central banks, capital markets authorities, and stock exchanges with advanced skills and knowledge needed to develop effective, sustainable local capital markets in emerging markets and developing economies.
IFC would like to thank the following institutions for their partnership in developing and delivering the Capital Markets Postgraduate Program: The Milken Institute, George Washington University, Paris Europlace, and Université Paris Dauphine-PSL.
The program is implemented in partnership with the Government of Japan, and the Governments of Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway under the G20 Compact with Africa.
