IFC's 2nd Agribusiness Conference: Leveraging Technology for Sustainable Agriculture

The event took place in Dublin, Ireland on September 18-19, 2024. 

The Conference brought together leading agribusinesses, technology providers, international experts, and development institutions to network, share experiences and discuss the opportunities and challenges of AgTech solutions for sustainable agriculture. Over two days, participants discussed how to accelerate the adoption and expansion of technology to increase the productivity, efficiency, and resilience of farmers and food systems in emerging markets. 

Through engaging sessions and interactive panel discussions we covered the following themes:

  • Enhancing agricultural productivity & regeneration of farming systems
  • Improving supply chain linkages and efficiencies for sector information
  • Expanding access to finance and markets
  • Using Agtech to mitigate and anticipate the impacts of climate change
  • The relevance of gender issues for improving food security

Highlights from 2018 Conference

Our in-person conference, in Amsterdam in May 2018, brought together more than 250 delegates from leading agribusiness and agritech companies operating in low-and middle-income countries, in addition to global thought leaders, policymakers and other agribusiness stakeholders. More than 50 percent were CEOs or C-suite.
