This is the annual flagship report of IFC’s Independent Evaluation Group. It reviews IFC’s effectiveness in supporting private sector development and its contributions to economic growth, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.
The purpose of the report is to provide an independent assessment of recent trends in IFC’s performance and stimulate debate and action on its strategy and operational processes. The report also serves as a source of knowledge and learning about private sector development, especially development impact.
